50th Blog Post: My Entire Skincare Routine

So....

In honour of my 50th blog post I decided to finally share with you all my complete and whole skincare routine. This is every little thing that I use from everyday stuff to treatments to masks to scrubs. I do switch out my skincare routine regularly and enjoy trying out new things to review on the blog for you all to read but this is what I am using now and this stuff (for the most part) has been working really well.

I figured since I am a skincare blogger I should show what I am using on my skin to keep it the best I can.

Now during the summer time, my skin gets oily in the T-Zone but now that it is late fall almost winter my skin has normalized and I would classify it as normal with a few dryer patches.

Also I have products that I alternate with so you may notice that I have 2 or 3 cleansers or 2 or 3 face moisturizers and I use them all I just alternate them depending on what I need that particular day or week or month even.

I hope this may help you in finding products suited to your skin type. I may do some detailed reviews of some of these products in a future post, if you have any requests to see detailed reviews let me know and I will make sure to do it!!!

*As always, pictures will have links to websites with more info about the products as well as purchasing info.

Let's look at these products shall we...

We will start with Makeup Removers:

Bioderma Cleansing Water

This is clearly one of my favourite cleansing waters. I did an in depth review on it that you can check out here and I will continue to repurchase it because it is phenomenal for sensitive skin and really cleans your skin and I find that when I use this one as opposed to other cleansing waters, less makeup ends up on my Clarisonic brush because Bioderma breaks up much more makeup so less is left to clean.

Target Up and Up Makeup Removing Cleansing Cloths
I am not a huge fan of wipes for removing makeup, they have been proven to not be the most ideal for removing makeup but I feel like if you use them in conjunction with a cleanser and not on their own they will be just fine. Having said that I do feel like cleansing water works better for me but these are affordable and do the job and are pretty decent as far as wipes are concerned.

Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover
This is AMAZING. It gets off eye makeup in one swoop and rinses off with cleanser easily so their is no residue left over. Plus it is cheap and their is no need for any high end eye makeup removers.

CLEANSERS

Clarisonic Mia 2
I love this brush. I have reviewed it on the blog here and it totally lives up to the hype for me. I have gone without it to see the difference and it is clear that if I don't use it my skin's texture definitely takes a turn for the worse.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel
Now this is an amazing cleanser. I am in love with the La Roche Posay line of products because I feel like they do a great job of catering to different skin types and concerns. I even mentioned their Rosaliac Micellar Gel in my August favourites. This cleanser is good for acne prone skin but what I love about it is that it doesn't have the traditional Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicylic Acid as one of its ingredients but it still is just as effective at getting rid of break outs. It is a little drying for normal skin but not so drying that it wouldn't be compensated with a light moisturizer afterwards. This cleanser is also soap free and has a very balancing ph of 5.5.

Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Foaming Cleanser
This Cleanser I use in the mornings and it stays in my shower. It is perfect for morning because it is gentle. After removing my makeup at night I don't need to use a harsh cleanser to clean my face again so this is perfect. I like it because unlike Cetaphil it foams up really nice which a lot of gentle cleansers do not do. It gets your face clean and it is non drying. It is also around 8 or 9 bucks for a very generous 454ml bottle.

Olay Pore Minimizing Cleanser and Scrub
This is awesome. It is not a foaming cleanser which may bug some people (like me at first) but it is a creamy consistency and the exfoliating beads are so gentle you can hardly feel them which is perfect for my sensitive skin. I used this last year and because it has the slightest bit of salicylic acid in it, it works great at keeping my skin clear.

TONERS

Eua Thermale Avene Thermal Spring Water
I love toners but recently I have stopped using traditional toners on my skin and just using this spring water as a boost of hydration and I find it is working just as good. I don't know if I will continue to repurchase it because it is a bit pricey and more of a luxury than anything.  So if you have any good, non drying toners out there for sensitive skin, let me know in the comments because I would love some suggestions.

SERUMS

Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution
I only have one serum and it is this one by Kiehl's that promises to eliminate my dark spots. I have used a bit of this product and can see some difference which I will continue to monitor.

MOISTURIZERS

Derma E Skin Lighten Cream
This is one I use when I have some scars that won't budge, this helps  lighten up my scarring. It has a very interesting texture, to say the least, that leaves your skin matte but it is well worth it.

New Roots Argan Oil
You will notice that I am not using my beloved Rose Hip Oil and that is because I want to see what all the hype is surrounding Argan Oil so I picked up this Canadian brand at my local Organic store and I am liking it so far. I don't particularly like the scent but that doesn't bother me too much when I am sleeping.

Benefit Total Moisture Cream
This stuff is perfect for fall and winter when my skin is super dehydrated and needs an extra burst of hydration, it also smells wonderful which is an added bonus.

Origina Vitazing Moisturizer
This I use in the morning if I want to wear makeup. It gives me a bit of a tint and SPF 15 which is perfect for daytime.

 Nivea Moisturizing Day Cream
This I have mentioned so many times but it truly is amazing and affordable and does such a great job of hydrating without the grease.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer with SPF 15
I have taken a little break recently from the above Nivea moisturizer because I want to see if this one by Aveeno really will even out my skin tone (positive thoughts).

EYE CREAMS

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream
I got this in a sample size a few months back but saved it for this time because I know my under eye's get dry during the colder months. This is super hydrating and I adore it for winter.

Yes To Grapefruit Dark Circle Eye Cream
I am just recently trying this in the hopes that it will lighten my dark circles a bit. It has a really light consistency so not that great for winter but if it can get rid of these dark circles it will be well worth it.

SCRUBS

Lush's Dark Angels Scrub
I mentioned this in my September Favourites and it is a great exfoliant for your face. It is quite abrasive so I would not recommend using this regularly but once a week is enough to slough off those dead skin cells and leave your skin feeling baby soft.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub
I like this because it is fresh and smells great but it is also gentle, although a bit more scrubby than my Olay daily one, this is good for a little more exfoliation.

MASKS

Andalou Naturals Blue Geranium Creamy Clay Mask
This is a great mask to use if you are having a breakout or a number of breakouts (like I experience sometimes). Clay is great for drawing out impurities and oil so using it will help speed the healing of the breakout/s.

Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask (Brightening Line)
This is a product from the Andalou Naturals Brightening line and it helps to renew the skin as well. It has Glycolic acid which is a chemical exfoliant so it helps to get rid of the surface layer of skin leaving it renewed and brighter. This mask with it's honey and pumpkin also smells divine.

Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Treatment Mask
I have reviewed this on the blog here as well and I find that it really does help with lightening my dark spots and it is very hydrating so that is a bonus.

TREATMENTS

Lush's Grease Lightning
Another product I mentioned in my September Favourites Post. This has tea tree oil which really helps with minimizing breakouts and I like it because even though it does not work as fast as something that is pure benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, it heals the breakout and doesn't leave an annoying scar

Clean and Clear Mark Treatment
This is great for drying out my breakouts with its salicylic acid but it does sometimes flake the skin if you use it too much so I use it every other day on tough spots.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo
This is another acne spot treatment which I love the most. It is not drying but it is also very effective. It doesn't work so much on white heads but nothing really does on my white heads. It really does tackle red, under the skin spots very well though.

La Roche Posay Cicaplast Gel
This gel is recommended for skin that has undergone minor dermatological procedures but that is not what I use it for. I actually purchased this product by accident. I was looking to purchase Cicaplast Baume 5 and ended up getting this and using it by mistake but I love it. It is great for when I have a bit on unexpected redness or bumps that sometimes occur on my face that I don't know why they happen, this product takes it away overnight. I love this stuff.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Intensive Lip Repair Balm
Lip care is important and this stuff really leaves my lips soft. I apply it before bed and wake up with smooth, un-chapped lips.

Well there you have it folks. My Skincare Routine. I hope you enjoyed finding out what I use on my face. Make sure to let me know what you use as well and tell me your favourite skincare products.

Till Next Time...

Stay Happy!!!
